A Hereford Beefstouw in Skive - or Rose Hill, as the restaurant is called – is beautifully situated in the picturesque forest of Krabbesholm on the outskirts of Skive. The old giant oaks and beeches form an idyllic frame around the building, standing 35 feet above the beach close by. Through the giant panorama windows, the guests have a unique view of the marina, Skive Fjord and, in the distance, the beautiful Lundø (a small island) across the fjord - a view which is stunning every spring when the beech trees bloom to life. Inside the restaurant, the grill forms the natural centrepiece, while an Armagnac-cabinet made in Hamburg adds a solid foundation to the room. "The most important about running a restaurant is to posses a good feeling of what the guests want and how they would like to be treated," says Per Jensen, who has owned and managed the restaurant since 1987. Before becoming the Managing Director, Per Jensen had previously been employed at the restaurant since it opened in 1980.

Wine has a special place in Per Jensen’s life. Compared to its size, the restaurant boasts one of the largest selections of prized red wines in the A Hereford Beefstouw family. Moreover, Per Jensen has a special ’guarantee of taste’: "We call it the ’kitchen-guarantee’ - if our guests do not like the wine we suggest will go well with their menu, we take it back – and drink it in the kitchen later on," says Per Jensen, adding that the guests rarely complain or use the guarantee.

Housing up to 100 dining guests, the Rose Hill has plenty of room for larger parties. The restaurant is also suitable for people with disabilities and has private parking spaces for dining guests.
