The restaurant is closed from 1 February 2012 because of reconstruction at the airport.

Our partner has chosen not to open the A Hereford Beefstouw restaurant again when the reconstruction is completed.
Exclusively situated at Chep Lap Kok, the international airport, the restaurant in Hong Kong is characterized by its clientele of international businesspeople. Designed according to the classical Scandinavian tradition, the restaurant has gained a reputation of quick delivery and superior quality. Our Chinese partners ensure a service of the highest standards during the restaurant’s daily operation.  The primary group of customers,  businesspeople, has given the Hong Kong restaurant a noteworthy place in the history of our company. When the very first A Hereford Beefstouw opened up in Lund near Herning, Denmark, it was meant as a service to the foreign buyers doing business with the Damgaard shirt factory. With a strong focus on this particular customer group, one could say that the Hong Kong restaurant brings the A Hereford Beefstouw chain full circle – still true to the original concept. In spite of the location half way around the world, the restaurant in Hong Kong looks like any other restaurant in the chain. The only exception is the huge iron grill, which has been placed in the airport-kitchen – three stories beneath the restaurant - for security reasons.

Artist Peter Stuhr and architect Søren Damgaard have been in charge of the interior arrangement in close collaboration with the people from SSP, Scandinavian Service Partners, who own and run the restaurant.
