The northernmost A Hereford Beefstouw restaurant, which opened in 1991, is situated picturesquely in the historical "Simons Farmhouse" in the very heart of Aalborg. In the old days, the building housed one of the largest wine merchants in northern Jutland. And, beside the fact that good wine is still enjoyed in the building, it also bears a number of traits which can be traced back to the original wine store. As a cozy remembrance of its history, the old oak casks still decorate the walls of the half-timbered building. Over the years, dining guests have been treated with great care. The result is a large crowd of regular customers who are drawn by the high quality of the food and the unique dining experience. "We try to make every visit here a complete experience - an evening in which food, wine and service combine with the splendid atmosphere of the restaurant and merge into something memorable."
As a special treat for the customers, the Aalborg-restaurant has a lobster tank where guests can select a lobster of their own personal choice. The salt-water tank is cleaned frequently, making it possible to keep the lobstersperfectly fresh before they are cooked.
The restaurant has room for 68 dining guests.
